noise app accuracy

i feel like the decibel meter on my applewatch isn’t accurate. Is there anyway of checking if it’s accurate or not.

We see that you have some concerns regarding the accuracy of the Noise app on your Apple Watch. As noted on the below article, the app uses the watch's microphone to detect. So be sure that there are no cases or screen protectors covering the mic.

The only way to tell if it's accurate would be to take readings with another decibel meter that you know is accurate at the same time. Note that just because the watch doesn't agree with another decibel meter doesn't mean it's the watch that's inaccurate. You'd need to have the decibel meter calibrated by a professional.
