Dictation: Using a dash in punctuation

When I use dictation, I use a lot of dashes (“Hi Mom – I’ll see you at the park!”), and while dictation used to recognize the dashes, now it just writes “dash“ instead. It is very frustrating! Does anyone have any idea how to teach it to do better?
