Using old slim card in a new I Pad

I have I pad with verzion as my provider. If I buy a new I Pad Plus can I use my Verizon sim card in the new I pad?

If you have an existing WiFi and Cellular iPad, its SIM should be transferrable to another Cellular iPad. Some carriers do “lock” the Data SIM to a device, but if so, you should be able to arrange its transfer to a different iPad if you speak to your Carrier.


For very recent models of iPad, you may also have the option of switching from using a physical SIM to using the embedded eSIM. Again, a conversation with your Carrier may be necessary.
