For some reason Find My did not load on my iphone 6 even after the August 2020 update. I still only have Find My iPhone. Any suggestions?

The iPhone 6 cannot be updated beyond iOS 12.4.8.
The change from Find My iPhone to Find My was part of iOS 13 and that cannot be installed on an iPhone 6 or earlier models of iPhones.

It includes reinstall instructions but doesn’t specifically mention Find My Friends. I assumed it would be available in the App Store from a device running a version earlier than iOS 13 but that was just an assumption. You may want to contact Apple Support. Both Find My Phone and Find My Friends should still work on your iPhone 6.
Well that makes sense. I had not heard that. Did the Find My Friends, Find My Phone technology change with iOS 13 because that app stopped working?
Find My Phone is still on my phone, but Find My Friends is gone. How do I get it back? I don't see it on the App store.
