I WANT THE MUSIC THAT I PURCHASED!!!!!!!!!!!

This last time that I restored from backup, I didn't get my music. All I have is downloadable music in its place, that I can only play if I have an internet connection which does nothing for me when my ipod or (old phone that I used for an ipod) is in my car.

So obviously, I need to download my music to listen to it. Why the frig has Apple made it so hard to get it? I mean really! Steve Jobs would be crackin heads over something so asinine! The birds were singin and then bloop! Somebody thought it would be a good idea to screw everything up! Not even a button to just "Download All Music"! Really guys?!?!?

I need a solution for this like right now please! And no I'm not punching over 1200 songs to download each one! Thanks!!!

Apple backups have never included music.

If your missing music was purchased through iTunes, signing in to iTunes will allow you to download it again.

If it was your CD baed music, where did you back it up to?

If it was from an Apple Music subscription, enable your iCloud Music Library.

The issue is the latest ios update has deleted songs for many users, myself included. I did not notice this issue until a couple days after installing the update as this is the first time I've gone to my music library since then. All songs that were previously downloaded physically to the phone are now gone and showing as if I have to re-download them. However, even if I click the cloud icon to re-download, it is not doing it and it seems like it's only streaming music at this point. Apple seriously broke something with this last update!

And you didn't share this important detail previously because...? Your original post did not talk about an iOS update in any context. Were we to divine that somehow?

Does not alter the fact that music is never restored from a backup.

Which were the first 2 points you made and what my entire reply to you was based on.

Best of luck.
