Dinging sound. Constant dinging sound

I have no notification alerts, very few mail messages, and still, sometimes 20 sounds a minute.

If the chime that you hear coincides with attempting to charge your iPad, then yes, it quite possible that you have a damaged cable. You might, similarly, have a failed Power Adapter - or the Lightning/USB-C connector on your iPad Pro may have been damaged causing a poor connection.


To isolate the cause, you’ll need to systematically swap your cable and Power Adapter for “known good” items - one a time.
