Cellular network shows "No Signal" after updating to IOS 13.6.1

I have an Iphone 8 plus. As soon as i update to IOS 13.6.1, i started having cellular network issues even at locations at my home where i would previously get good reception. I gave my phone to the authorised iCare Service for the same issue (ticket No.SMA67297). They did a software update and gave back the phone. Phone was ok for a few days, but the problem started happening again. I have tried updating an iphone7 with the latest 13.6.1, using my sim; but having the same issue. But now started to think the problem is with my sim. So tried my sim with an iphone5S with software version:12.3.1 and there was no cellular network problem.

Conclusion: the Older iphones (iphone8plus and below) running on the latest 13.6.1 is having these cellular network reception problems. The new update of ios 13.6.1 is not compatible with iphone8 plus or older phones..

APPLE SHOULD CHECK THE COMPATIBILTY OF THE NEW IOS WITH OLDER PHONES BEFORE RELEASING THE NEW UPDATE. CAN'T BELIEVE WE ARE DOING THE R & D FOR THEIR OWN PRODUCT !!!

Hello Ajay_BS,

did you referenced If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad and If you can't make or receive calls on your iPhone?

Same with me. I updated my iphone 7 to 13.6.1. Started getting no service very often.

  1. Call fails and go no service.
  2. Call drops while travelling. I thought it is network service provider issue while switching tower to tower. But other brand phone with same service provider there are no issues.
  3. Suspected the issue while phone getting hot ( happens while talking).
  4. Many from my circle started saying the same issue after the ios update.

waiting for Apple to check what is going on...

I use iPhone 8 and also have the same problem after updating to iOS 13.6.1, I took to Apple Authorized service centre and they are asking me to buy a new one or pay INR 39,000 to get a new iPhone 8. Is this a joke or what? I'm not sure how to proceed next, it looks Apple is pushing us to buy a new iPhone every 2 years forcefully through software upgrades.

I still have "No service" all the time now. Some one suggested to enrol in apple beta program and upgrade to iOS 13.7 or iOS 14 to see if the issue is resolved. I tried to do the same and after downloading the version, I'm not able to install it. I'm getting "you are no longer connected to internet" error. Highly frustrating and fed up with Apple.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro, and also have experienced significantly worse cellular coverage since upgrading to 13.6.1.

I upgraded my 11pro first, but also have an iPhone 11 and did not upgrade that, and in the same place the iPhone 11 on 13.6.1 drops calls and has lower data transfer rate than the iPhone 11 on older OS. This is a real issue.
