Buying in iTunes Store requires password (iPasOS 14 beta)

Hi,

when I purchase music on the iTunes Store it asks my Apple ID password, then it verifies my Face ID and then it asks to push the on-button twice. Then it again asks my Apple ID password.

is this just a bug in the iPadOS 14 beta or is this typical from now on?

When I purchase a song, it asks for the face ID authorization, which works, then it asks me to provide my Apple ID password. I am logged into my Apple account, so why does iTunes keep asking me to type in my password. Once I do that, the purchase goes through just fine. One thread suggested that I logout and then log back in, but when I attempt to do that it warns me that all of my iCloud content will be deleted. I don't want to risk that. Any thoughts?

How do you get your apple ID password to work in the app store? I'm getting very frustrated with trying to download updates from the app store. It says that I'm logged in with my Apple ID, but my Apple ID password -- the same one I used to log into this forum -- doesn't work. I've tried changing it, but it still doesn't work for the app store. Why isn't the password for both the iPad and the app store the same? I see where you can disable the password requirement for free downloads from the app store on an iPhone, but this option isn't available on an iPad. The settings for app store say that face ID is enabled for all purchases, but it isn't -- I'm always immediately prompted for a password. How can I establish a consistent password and get the updates installed already?

App Store Face ID When I open the App Store to download an app I get asked for my Apple ID password. When I put my password in it then asks me to turn on Assistive touch all the time and I don’t know if there is a way to stop this from happening i recently bought my IPhone X and it’s updated to the latest IOS if anyone can help I greatly appreciate it ☺️

That's not typical behavior even on the beta.

You can report issues with the beta with the feedback assistant.
