iTunes won’t recognise the country location

Hi, I’m in Australia and I sent a song to someone in the US through iTunes. Now their iTunes won’t play anything and keeps saying “this Apple ID is only valid for use in the US store.”

She’s logged in and out of both iTunes and her Apple ID, but nothing will play. Any suggestions please?!
