iPhone won't connect to CarPlay since updating to iOS 13.6.1

I updated my iPhone XR to iOS 13.6.1 & now it won't connect to Carplay. I have never had that issue before with my current vehicle. I connect via cable, not wifi, & wait until after the bluetooth has connected. This is way I've always done it before this update.
