Apple Music / iTunes Woes Continue (Some Album Art Not Showing Up In Playlists)
Album art is not showing up in playlists created in Apple Music. I ripped my Iron Maiden's "Somewhere In Time" (compact disc) to my hard drive earlier today.
I then scanned compact disc cover art (as well as trying .jpg files I'd found online)—sizing everything down to about 600x600 pixels wide, which has worked seamlessly on thousands of other compact discs I've ripped to my hard drive.
(I also dumped the custom artwork and attempted to use the find album art feature, but it didn't work.)
As you see in the image below, the cover art is present up top (where the song "Stranger In A Strange Land" is playing), but there is no artwork next to the songs when dragged into a playlist for this album.
The image for the album shows up in large form next to the tracks—but that is the result of this playlist having been on my phone for years. (I ripped an old, un-remastered version of the album to iTunes today, replaced existing tracks and the side art stayed—but individual track art is not showing up.
I also tried to create a new playlist for this album and zero artwork showed up—nothing for the songs and not the larger image on the side.
I've dragged other tracks from this album into other playlists and the cover art doesn't show up, either—yet all other cover art from other bands, albums, etc. shows up with zero issue.
The music-related nightmares cotninue (since Apple did away with iTunes and created Music). Shouldn't be this difficult to have a seamless music application, yet every oS "upgrade" seems to make iTunes / Music a bigger disaster than it was before.
Advice is appreciated. Thanks.
