I have Ist generation Apple Watch not pairing w iOS 13

Ist generation Apple Watch. Not pairing despite UpToDate software in iphone

Is the watch a piece of junk now?

Watches with watchOS 5 or lower won’t pair to iPhone with iOS 13 -

The work around is to pair the watch to a phone still running iOS 12. While paired to iOS 12, you should be able to update the watch to the latest version of watchOS for that watch. After the update, unpair the watch and you should then be able to pair it to a phone running iOS 13.

Watch is now having no software

does it have any basic software ?

Seems like getting around will not work because now it is at factory purchase level

1.can it be paired to an old iPad for that reason?

2 Is there a way to go down to iOS 12 or lower on current iPhone 6 s?

Even if you erased the watch, it still has the version of watchOS that was on the watch when you erased it.

You cannot pair an Watch with an iPad.

You usually cannot downgrade iOS on an iPhone to an earlier version, especially iOS 13 to iOS 12.

how about finding an old discarded iPhone and trying to sync w that!!

Bought ist generation apple watch in 2015 June, Sync w iphone 6s was working but stopped using the watch because of inconvenience of charging daily and needing the phone nearby. On past sunday Aug 23, I decided to relook at it and try use. Noticed that the health app and time worked well. I tried to mirror and sync again but it still had emails prior to 2018.This meant that it did not sync. I was given instructions per search to delete info and resync to my phone that has (ios13,6.1)software fully up to date. Now as I try to mirror, I get a message to set up with my iphone . I get the message to update software even though using iphone app that is already updated. Manual mirroring also gets stuck at the message to update software . Phone Battery is fully charged but, No other option to activate the watch is available even if I want to use the watch as just a watch and use health app. I understand there will be no GPS and new features like 3 and 5 series have but, It is totally non functional.

This is very disturbing because we paid $300 plus for the watch and its useless now.
