My iphone 6 frizted out and is dead.
I'm okay with that, I've wanted an excuse to get an 11.
I'm not able to complete a purchase for an 11 because it
requires getting the passcode via text (on my dead phone)
Can't Apple email me a passcode?
Suggestions/solutions appreciated

Is your new phone going to have the same phone number as your dead phone?
If so, place that SIM from the dead phone in to another phone using the same SIM size. Now you can get an SMS code to that phone to verify your identity as it has your trusted phone number in it.

I don't know anyone who'd let me take apart their phone, take out their sim card, and put
mine in...
I'm surprised Apple makes it so hard to give them money!
