Carrier plan for unlocked phone

I purchased an unlocked iPhone 11 and now I would like to connect it to a carrier but I don’t understand how to do that? My SIM card for my old phone doesn’t fit my iPhone 11 so what would and how can I set it up?

You go to your cellular carrier and get a NanoSIM to go in your iPhone.
