How can i get rid of browser hijacker in safari and chrome?

By mistake i tried to instal flash player and by doing so the browser hijacker was installed and even though I have set my default home page as google, Bing.com overrides it and over rides google.com .

The same happens when i open chrome. I tried to remove recently installed files and I have no success. I only read online to instal combo cleaner to get rid of it but i am scared to instal anything.

Could you please help me to get rid of browser hijacker.

Hello Amulyabcn,

It sounds like you accidentally installed malware on your Mac and now it won't load to your home page. You can remove malware with a few simple steps.

Check System preferences for a Profile.

System Preferences> Profiles, remove all unknown profiles. If you do not see profiles then you do not have any installed.

MalwareBytes - Free Download

Restart your Mac

Log out, sleep, restart, or shut down your Mac

After restart and deleting the app, you shoud try running MalwareBytes again, just to be safe.
