Audio cuts out during FaceTime

It's the case! - I bought iPhone 11 Pro February 2020 and FT worked great UNTIL I updated software to 13.4.1 That's when I started having problems with FT voice drop out and noise in background muting audio. Long story short, Apple Support said they had no complaints so they replaced my phone after numerous diagnostic testing. After receiving and updating to latest software, same issue with FT. Apple Support replaced phone again and said not to update software. Received phone with IOS 13.2.3, (I did not update software) and FT worked great. In September 2020 I decided to update to IOS 14, problem continued. I took off case (Otterbox Commuter) and FT worked great! I purchased Spigen Thin Fit case and my iPhone 11 Pro FT has been working GREAT!

hey Ced-3. I had the same problem, turned out my phone case was blocking part of the microphone and speaker and picking vibrations from the speaker up on the mic. maybe try a call without your case on?

11 Pro Verizon. Purchased from Apple. Same issue. Any noise in background mutes the audio.

I have this same issue - purchased iPhone 11 Pro Oct 2020 and have trouble with audio cutting out constantly in facetime. I have tested all microphones and they work absolutely fine outside of facetime.

I’ve had FT drop out issues since software update 13.4.1.

I just purchased an iPhone 11 two weeks ago and am having the same issue, both on Wifi and cellular. I’ve followed all of the steps yet the issue persists. It isn’t an ISP problem nor is there an issue with my mic. Voice memos are clear as are audio calls.
