A few things you can try:

  • Try another set of headphones.
  • If the headphones has a separate cable, try using another cable.
  • Reset your notebook's SMC & NVRAM

I am going to rephrase my question. After connecting wired headphones or any outside speaker systems into 3.5 mm headphone jack the computer is still playing just from the computer speakers. That had happened before with my other laptop computers . Sometimes they would play sometimes they wouldn't. I tried to switch in System Preferences Sound from internal to headphones. This didn't change a thing. Now I noticed that option disappeared too.
