Macbook Pro 13" 2020 not charging even plugged in.

Hi,


I know that a lot post on this discussion page already has this title however my issue is quite different from others.


I just get my Macbook Pro 2 days back and start setting up my Macbook and downloading all iCloud/iTunes/Photos to my Macbook (~500gb of data), I prevent the harddisk to sleep so that I can leave it overnight while my Macbook downloading all the data.


My Macbook has been plugged to power point all the way, it shows plugged in but battery not charging. There is one time, my battery keep draining from 100% -> 2% while plugged in and no charging is started.


Already contacted Apple Support and they asked to reset SMC -> already done that but don’t know whether it’s fixing my issue or not.


Is this normal happen to the new power management on Macbooks?

Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service after the stores re-open. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Also, see How to find your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or Distributor (AAD). You may also get Apple authorized service at a local Best Buy or contact Apple Support for more options.


Contacting Apple Customer and Support Service


  1. Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 or visit online Help for more information.
  2. If you just purchased the product, then you get 90 days of free telephone support from the date of purchase of your Apple product.
  3. Primary support help at Contact Support.
  4. To contact product and tech support: Contacting Apple for support and service including international calling numbers.


About the Standard Warranty:
