How to disable the discrete GPU?

For example, I use Adobe XD, which immediately turns on the discrete GPU. I do not need it! A discrete GPU consumes more electricity, the battery runs out faster, the computer wakes up after opening the lid longer, in general, I don't need a GPU for such simple tasks! But it turns on every time I run Figma, XD or other similar programs. They work fine without a video accelerator even on my 2011 year old MacBook!

You can disable the automatic GPU switching by launching the Terminal app and running the following command:

sudo pmset -b gpuswitch 0

There was a utility that could switch it off (gSwitch), but I'm not sure it runs on Catalina. Looks like it was updated (minor) a few months ago, so it may.
