see date macbook was first turned on

Hi people. Is there any way i can see the exact date my macbook first was turned on?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Hello! To see the date when your Macbook was first turned on, go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do and enter your serial number. If that for some reason doesn't work you can try this:


  1. Open finder, and open the "users" folder and find the "home" folder.
  2. In the toolbar, open the "view" tab, and tick "Date created"
  3. The "date created" for your "home" folder will then show you when it was created, i.e the date you first turned on your macbook.
