How do I get a hold of my email provider

I have an xtra account which i have had for over 20 years now MAIL keeps asking me for password which I have tried every password i have ever used and nothing works. I can access my email with webmail but I want to use the MAIL on my laptop. Please help. Cheers John

John, you may have already done this, but I would go to the provider's web site and confirm precisely what password is shown there for both incoming and outgoing messages. Then open your email app and confirm that the password there is the same. I personally do not use Mail, but I've read here that it sometimes has a memory problem associated with Keychain. People have in the past recommended that the Keychain passwords (all of them) for Mail be removed. Then when you restart your computer and reopen Mail and re-enter the password, it sticks. I hope that works for you.
