I can't get pass the lock icon in a black background

I have download the latest software and in the process of restarting it asked me of access code which it didn’t take and then ask me to get into it by my Apple ID and password and then it says it will require me to set up key code and then it locked me out and I can’t get pass the stupid looking lock icon in a black background. I own so many apple product and this happens it makes me doubt my decisions.

Looks like you have run into a Firmware Password requirement. Usually a Firmware password is set by the owner of the device and most popularly used by employers who issue computers to their employees.

You will need that Firmware Password to enter at the white LOCK icon. If you purchased your MacBook then ask the seller for that Firmware password. It is not the password to your Apple ID and it is not the password to you get to the Mac desktop.
