How can I invert text automatically based on background color?

I've always wanted to do one of those cool things where the text inverts automatically based on background color. Here's an example of this.

I'm currently on the latest version (10.4.9). Please help me out.

Select the title in the timeline and change the Blend Mode from "Normal" to "Subtract" in the Inspector.
