iPad no longer sleeps after 13.6.1

Since the latest update, my iPad doesn’t go to sleep. I have the setting at 10 minutes, but after falling asleep while reading, I wake up in the morning and the display is still on.

I have confirmed settings and rebooted. Anything else I should try?

A forced-restart of your iPad may be helpful - as this will often resolve an isolation issue that occurs follow a software update:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
