finder
When i click on the finder icon nothing appears how do i get it please

Hi, welcome to the Apple Users Community.
The finder is the entire view you see on the MacBook, if you click the icon using the right side of your trackpad, you should see a list pop-up which replicates many of the available commands from the menus at the top of your Finder window.
It is a way of opening windows to the directories on your HD or linked devices. If you need any further help just reach out.
