If I change my payment method associated with my Apple ID, will my subscriptions be cancelled (or will I have to cancel them before) or will the automatically start charging from the new payment method?

I wish to change the payment method of my Apple ID (but within the same region) and was wondering how this would impact my subscriptions such as Apple Music. Will my subscriptions (such as Apple Music) automatically charge to the new payment system, or will I have to cancel them first, change payment method, and then re-active them?

Thank you for the help

Changing the payment method shouldn't affect your subscriptions. Since you have subscriptions, you will need to add the new payment first. Then promote it to the primary payment method. You should then be able to remove the old payment method if desired.

You can click the blue Edit payment methods in the article below. When signed in and the page loads, you will be on the credit card page.
