In the past I've been using the "Photos" app to download the photos from my iPhone 11 Pro to my iMac (2011) with not much issues. Recently I've been getting some error messages saying that some on the files "may be corrupt" and the Photos app quits. The photos used to show up in the "Photos" window, but now when I connect my iPhone to the iMac it says "No Photos", and there are photos on my iPhone.

Boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and connect your iPhone to your Mac. Check to see if you can see the photos. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

What system are you running on yup iMac and what format are the Photos, i.e. HIEC or JPEG?
I'm currently running High Sierra 10.13.6, Photos is version 3.0. and he photos on my iPhone are primarily JPEG.
Are you running the latest iOS on you iPhone, 13.6.1?
Were you able to view and download photos previously with 13.6.1?
Yes, it was still a bit buggy but yes I was able to at least see the photos on my iPhone. Is there an update to Photos or other apps that allow you to get the photos off the iPhone?
