how many pins for my ram upgrade

to ensure i buy the correct ram, how many pins for the 1600 MHz DDR3 memory module?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

There are two models of MacMini uses 1600 MHz DDR 3 memory -- 2012 and 2014.


Only 2012 model is user upgrade-capable. The memory module is 204 pin (DDR3). 2014's memories are soldered.

However, Macs are very picky on memory -- you probably heard enough here -- BUT, get memory from reputable vendors (you will be covered by warranty) such as OWC and Crucial (Mac compatible memory modules)
