Hi! Having this issue with my late 2012 Mini:
When the system restart to initiate installation, it freezes right after (maybe 10% of the progress bar). Even if i wait for hours, it doens't move/change. I have to press the on/off button in order to restart.
Does anyone knows how to make it work? Thanks!

If your Mac has insufficient to install Catalina, or is running a background application that is incompatible that could cause freezing. Check for those first using this tip:

Make sure your data is backed up.
Make sure you use the correct update for your situation:
10.15.6 Delta update is for 10.15.5 only.
10.15.6 Combo update is for 10.15 - 10.15.5.
Catalina can only install directly from App Store on top of 10.14.6 or earlier.
Your Mac mini needs to be a late 2012 or later to install Catalina.

It worked. Downloaded the 10.15.6 Combo update from outside of Apple Store (indicated in the tip). Before that, i was running the direct Apple Store update from the 10.15.3 version, but for some reason was not working. Thanks!
