My son is unable to update his fortnight app to play the newest and greatest season that he has been looking forward to for three months now. We are very disappointed and would like to know how he can have the opportunity to play in the new fortnight season.

Unfortunately, now that Epic Games have thrown all of its users under the metaphorical bus, you will need to wait for the legal process undertaken by Epic to make its way to the courts.Â
Apple’s words on the issue are below.Â
"Epic has had apps on the App Store for a decade, and have benefited from the App Store ecosystem - including its tools, testing, and distribution that Apple provides to all developers.
"Epic agreed to the App Store terms and guidelines freely and we're glad they've built such a successful business on the App Store. The fact that their business interests now lead them to push for a special arrangement does not change the fact that these guidelines create a level playing field for all developers and make the store safe for all users.
"We will make every effort to work with Epic to resolve these violations so they can return Fortnite to the App Store."
This is causing major problems for my eight-year-old. His unable to play on his device while his brothers are able to play on their non-Apple devices and participate in the newest and greatest season of fortnight. I feel that Apple will lose a huge majority of their fortnight playing users due to this legal battle which will result in Apple not needing to carry fortnight however my son favors being able to play on an Apple device because it is his current preference. That may change.
