MacOS bricking, Please help!

So I installed windows in my bootcamp. My macbook pro model is MR9R2. I installed this application EaseUS, backup everything.

And then it happens.

I accidentally format a partition that mac OS has, which only sized for 128MB, cause idk what that is at the beginning then bam, I couldn't ever login to my macOS anymore and also do any internet recovery(it never finish or show any progress bar) or read any bootable media(it redirect me back to internet recovery that never will be finished). I've tried bootable media with High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina installation. nothing works.

Any help on fix the issue?, I tried to do backup recovery but somehow it formatted my windows in the bootcamp as well. It's so mixed up. Now my laptop can't boot into anything, the laptop age only 1 year and 5 months and I actually rarely using it.

I tried to bring to ibox but they claim they need to change the logic board because it's broken with the new one (cost me around ~40% a new laptop price which is nonsense for me since I know what actually happen to the macbook.

Please help, let me trust that apple macbook pro not that easy to brick !

The error message :

Grant Bennet-Alder

-2005F error

In Internet Recovery, these low negative thousands error messages indicate that your provided Wi-Fi Network is inadequate in some fashion, and cannot be used (for this purpose) in its current state.

Common problems include:

Hidden Network-name

required use of a proxy server to get Internet access

required use of a login page to get Internet access

Use of a login server or certificate to get Internet access

Use of PPPoE in the Mac to get Internet access (typically only applies to DSL)

Use of Fixed IP address rather than good old DHCP

Variance of the time by more than five minutes

Failure of Router to provide workable DNS server addresses, or providing 0.0.0.0 [may produce -2002f]

If you have an Ethernet port, you may in some cases be able to move your Mac close to the Router and connect to the Router using Ethernet.

The higher the number, the more obscure the problem.

Also, make certain the Date&Time and Time Zone are correct within 5 minutes.

Hi leroydouglas,

I tried with a very good friend's, ibox and office networks, they all won't sent me this error, but simply just showing me the spinning globe without anything.

The aasp ibox even told me they tried to reinstall 4 times with a proven network that able to do internet recovery but no dice.

So the connection is not the problem.

And also as I mention on above, it's somewhat impossible to access safe mode.

Please help. It's unbearable to lose around 3k$ for a macbook pro that I barely use from first buy... Especially in this time of crisis.

And tomorrow I gonna take back my laptop without fixing it because I don't have enough money.

I've been checking the connection that sucked by macbook pro. It seems downloading smth maybe the OS for some hours then just stopped after downloading. It somehow can't install the things it download. Same as using bootable media, which keep forcing me to use internet recovery instead booting the bootable media when chosen.

P.S: I already left the Macbook in good connection environment for more than 14 hours.

Easiest way since this is reproducable, you could use your MR9R2 model to re enact what I do. Simply install EaseUS through bootcamp then format the 128MB that shown without label then merge with windows partition and done, left the windows part so you might reinstall everything from windows section unlike what alrd happen with mine, it might sent your device to broken state as currently my macbook suffer

Can't apple do smth with this ?

Or is this means that "let's make a virus that specifically aim bootcamp to corrupt 128MB macOS so we rich fast? Nobody able to fix that beside us anw because we soldered everything into one piece"

This is things that only fatal on macbook but not on other usual laptops.

I still angry cause I wasted 3k $ without getting anything return yet by using macbook pro.

Apple care state the quality is actually high class and good must be a joke.

The MacOS will brick pretty easily.

Please check what I reply to leroydouglas, I sent to ibox support center and they say logic board is broken ?

They ask me to cough up around $720 for things that should be worked on other laptop that even a measly $100 new laptop could do?

SeRioSly?

I have the data containing the backup before I sent to ibox center so I know nothing should be wrong with the machine except the MacOS being flawed and broken if something happen towards this 128MB partition either purposely or not, and this macbook pro is not long from my purchase date and low usage in between.

I do forget what MacOS that I use on the mentioned Macbook Pro. It's either Sierra or Mojave or Catalina

Thanks for the headsup. Sorry, I thought some apple's moderator are gonna checking community once in awhile to check issues with their product.

I will use the support link once I get my macbook pro back since they force me to use serial number that I don't remember. I hope they gonna return my 720$ tho.. Currently broke because these covid thingy and don't have any job rn, and adding apples mug me too hard on these 😞
