Seeing local mailboxes on iPad
I have lots of. local mailboxes in my account on my Mac. Can I see them on my IOS devices?

No. They are called "local" mailboxes because they exist only on your Mac. Apple does not make them visible elsewhere.
If you have sufficient storage on a mail server somewhere, you could copy those mailboxes onto server mailboxes and access the server copies on the iPad.
