Can you use the Apple TV app on a compatible smart tv ( if you have an Apple TV subscription ) to view your photos and videos?

Can a smart tv using the Apple + tv app be used similarly to the Apple TV device ?

No. The TV App on 3rd party devices only offers access to the iTunes Store content, Apple Tv+ subscription, and a few embedded channels.


However, you may be able to Airplay photos and videos from an iOS device or a Mac computer to it.
