Sign your id out of Facetime in Settings, Facetime

Turn off iMessage in Settings, Messages

Reset network settings in Settings, General, Reset

Turn off phone and turn it back on

Sign back into facetime

Turn iMessage back on in Settings, Messages

What is the model number of your iPhone? Settings>General>About>Model.

You may have to scroll to see the entry for Model.

Since iOS 12.2, the Model Name is displayed as well as a generic model code

We use email id as only alternate option in iMessage and FaceTime for last 6 months since I bought iPhone 11 Pro Max which is not detecting my phone number I used on my previous iPhone. I have upgraded the new iPhone from the iCloud backup which will not pickup either your old number on precious iphone

so go to settings - under FaceTime and iMessage toggle on and off and see whether iMessage or FaceTime picks your number or use your email is to send and receive messages. Means you can add your email Id.

airtel in India is very poor service provider for iPhones

no Techinical knowledge even on enterprise support via email and voice call support via 121 customer care. In fact poor signal for voice and 4g in major locations of my state especially.
