Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

When ever I try to reset my security questions it says that I need to answer one of my original security question. The problem is I don't remember any of them.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? I am getting really frustrated with this whole thing. I have tried over and over but all I get is the same result. It says that I can reset my security questions but then says that I need to answer one of my original security questions. I can't remember any of the answers though.

If you are being told there isn't enough information to reset them, contact Apple ID Support.

If you don't know the answers, if the steps in the article below don’t work, contact Apple ID Support, although based on multiple posts I have read, they will not help you recover the answers to your security questions.

Without proof of your identity via security questions and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you reset a password or perform any other actions on your account. These policies are audited and reviewed on a regular basis.

See If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201485. Basically, Apple has precluded you from resetting them and, thus, has notified you that you cannot answer them satisfactorily.

So, see Security and your Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201303. This document says “without proof of your identity via security questions and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you reset a password or perform any other actions on your account.”

Thus, given Apple’s notification, we can do nothing to help you, except to mention that Apple support might help you if you have an extenuating circumstance (e.g., you have your receipt for your purchase of a pertinent device from an authorized Apple seller with its serial number on it). If you want to contact Apple Support to discuss any possible extenuating circumstance, see the support options below. Alternatively, if an Apple Store is open in your area, then you can go there to deal with your extenuating circumstance. You also can make a genius-bar appointment (https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/) if you want.
