You are welcome. Are you trying to buy the subscription from the App Store or direct from Microsoft? If from Microsoft, they may require their own user account.

Where are you trying to sign in when the password isn't accepted? Error message(s)? Does the ID and password work when you sign into other places using your Apple ID?

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Also try the Safe Mode.
