hi! I recently noticed that my touch bar is displaying a black screen and my keyboard’s backlight is also not working before i enter my mac’s password during startups. I used to be able to adjust the brightness and my keyboard’s backlight level back then. Is this because of the os update or something’s wrong with my mac? Hope someone helps, thanks in advance.
This looks as if it may be an issue with the SMC. Macs have this component called the System Management Controller which is responsible for everything from the keyboard backlight to the touchbar to charging your laptop.

Should this fail, also try resetting your NVRAM as directed here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204063
Finally, upon exhausting all options, you should take your Mac to be serviced. At that point, a hardware failure may be to blame.
