Censor not working after 10.4.9 updates

My mac updates Final Cut Pro to 10.4.9 automatically last night.

After new updates, the censor effect can only be apply frame by frame with manual input of it`s radius and center point. I don`t think I change any setting and I tried again and delete program preference, but it still not working properly.

In the old version before this update. I was able to drag the ring and add keyframe then change the censor parameters on the fly.

Need some help, so I can finish my project before the due.

Where exactly did you place it? It should be like the image below (the category folder could be named differently, but I prefer to keep all the effects from Fox in a neat category). You need the whole Censor SC folder in there.

And the Motion Templates folder, as well as the Effects folder, must be localized. (They already are, if you have other effects working). If you created them anew, select, press Command-I and add the ".localized" extension to the name. It will not appear in the Finder, but it makes all the difference.

Thanks for the reply, I didn`t add the ".localized" extension to Effect folder. The add-on is now installed. It works much better than the broken censor. Thanks for all the help.

But even with the add-on, the tracing and shifting still works weird sometime, I believe it`s the core issue in 10.4.9. I decided output the project and use premeire to mosaic my project for now. Hopefully this could be fixed soon.

I suspect is the keyframing adding issue in the 10.4.9, therefore even with the add-on other provide, it still won`t work properly. I have to switched to Premiere on my old PC to finished my work. But premiere is actually easier to do the mosaic because of the auto-tracing. I would suggest you try premiere and it might save you more time than struggle with FCP.

Thanks for making this!

I'm running into the same issues with this and other third party keyframing -- the 'center' keyframes are jumping all around and are not placing the effect with the on-screen-display is indicating. This is also happening with Alex4D's Circle Blur tool.

I'm an investigative reporter, so blur and mosaic are every-single-day effects for my work and I'm stuck. I can't revert to the previous FCP X version because my libraries have been updated and won't open.
