unable to update or restore my iphone X

last night my phone started acting up, I restored network settings and instead of resetting the screen went black and then the connect to itunes to restore image popped up on my screen. I attempted to update from my PC twice and still the same, I have attemptem to restore two times and the same! I have the most current version of itunes, I installed it fight before I strted this process. someone PLEASE HELP!!!
