Update to Catalina, no pro updates
I updated my MacBook Pro 10,1 from HS to Catalina because I wanted to use Logic Pro 10.5.1 and FCPX 10.4.9, upgrading from previous versions. App store shows no updates. What to do?

You're welcome. If you have a problem with any that are already installed, you can delete them first then reinstall.
What versions do you have? Pages is at 10.1 for example.
Dear Mr. DialaBrain, you are the best! Got a link for latest Motion? Why do these links work and not the App Store? When these apple apps are upgraded in the future, will the App Store show and allow me to upgrade? Don't get why the App Store failed on this...

You're welcome. I can't say why you couldn't find them. I just typed in the names in "Search".
Thanks again - just realized I want to update all the apple apps: Pages, Numbers etc so they are compatible with my catalina desktop. Will try "searching" for them...
As Charlie Brown might say, "Rats!" - sorry to bother, but doing a search in App Store only shows what I have - no updates.
I checked the possibility that I was trying to update already up-to-date programs. Nope, I had older apple programs, so I took your advice and trashed Pages, Numbers, Keynote and then my App Store would download the new versions (found under purchased window). That works. But still concerns me that, in the future, App Store won't show me what's new...

With Catalina they would just update automatically assuming you have "Automatically keep my…" checked and "Install app updates…" checked under "Advanced…" in System Preferences > Software Update.
