Lockscreen problems

I just got my new iPad 7, and it turns out that i have to press the power/home button for it to show my lockscreen. Can i access my lockscreen with only tapping the screen and not pressing the power/home button?

Your help would be appreciated!

Tap to Wake setting is supported on certain iPad models:

iPad Pro 11-inch
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd Generation & later)
