PS: If any of those MacBook models can start up from power supply, they

may be able advantage use a re-set of 'system management controller.'

• How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Another reset "NVRAM" can be useful, starts up with Four keys held, then

also use Power key; instructions are detailed and must be followed exact.

When hardware issues due to wear and product age have effect, trouble

shooting and testing are helpful to determine a course of action to take.

Take care & good luck!🌞🎣

Three items in most portable macs that will need attention

and likely replacement, in the course of time: 1) battery, 2)

power adapter, 3) DC-in Board (I/O Combo board; if MB/Air).

Troubleshooting these should be measured by how long

its been ~ since these factors were knowingly functional.

The DC-in Board or I/O Board, sometimes get dismissed as

a Logic Board issue; however these aren't logic board parts.

Some users who prefer to delve into their own DIY fixes,

may find helpful documents and articles toward that end.

Should you be interested in repair, these are probably considered

too old for official Apple service. While authorized independent

Apple trained techs, may take on older mac repairs & find parts.

In general terms those Macs probably need the three items,

that would be considered 'wear' items; expendables, shorter

life than the rest of the Mac. ~ And hard drives also go bad.

Good luck & happy trails!🐠😻
