Apple Photo allowing partial imports

I have been moving old photos on and off my Mac for organizational purposes. After I had processed 6000+ photos, I ran across one folder with 239 photos, but the import function will only import 164. Has anyone had this problem? I am running a 2015-build iMac, 32GB memory running Catalina 10.15.6.

I have tried breaking it up, but the results do not differ...it still refused to process the smaller amount (96).

It turned out that it was my bad. The problem was that I could not see the whole screen. Using the "Select All" to mark all 239 evidently did not work on all the photos. When I discovered this yesterday, I selected the first file, scrolled down to the last and used Shift-select.

I figured it out. Never do a tedious task when you're tired. I was using the "Select All" to copy the 239 photo/video files in the folder so I could move them. What I could not see was the entire file list, but assumed that all files had been selected. They weren't. When I finally scrolled down to see that all files were selected, I saw that was not the case. I had to select the first file in the list, scroll down, and then select the last file to capture all the files. Problem resolved. Don't know why Select All would not work.
