I have changed my phone and i am sure i had my whole information backed up from my previous iphone but thousands of my pictures and videos are gone now. I want to know if there is a way that i can reclaim them.

If you were syncing photos with iCloud, have you signed into Settings/Your Name/iCloud using the same Apple ID that you used when you synced the photos to iCloud, and turned Photos syncing on? The photos sync is very, very slow. If you weren't syncing photos to iCloud, do you have a backup you can restore from? Restoring from a backup erases all data currently on your device. Any data newer than when the backup was made will be erased. A restore is an all or nothing restore. You can't access a backup and only restore certain files.

How can i make my previous pictures show up on my new iPhone while most of them are not showing up.
