Numbers crashes when deleting a row

I've been using Numbers for list of potential tenants in a cooperative apartment complex. Never had any problems with it. We keep the demands for a year, then we delete them.

I was trying to delete the older names (rows) and it Numbers keep crashing, either when I try to delete one row or several.

I did try to transfer the file from iCloud to my desktop, but same thing happened.

Here is a screenshot of the top part of the crash report.

I use Numbers 10.1

on a Mac Mini with Mojave 10.14.6

I have 8gig of RAM

and only iTunes and Safari were opened at the time.

I'm not installing Catalina because some of the software I use are not compatible.

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

May be corrupted, as you said. I'm trying to think of other things you might try to get it working again.

  • Can you duplicate the table then delete the bad one entirely?
  • Can you copy all the contents from the table and paste it into a new document and will it let you delete rows from the new table?
  • Can you copy rows that you want to keep and paste them into a new document?
