im struggling to connect to Apple Music. Why might be the problem? I’ve tried restarting my phone, switch airplane mode on and off. Subscription is active too.

We see that you are having an issue with Apple Music not working. You can't connect on your iPhone. We want to help. Restarting is a good first step. Since that didn't help, is your iPhone updated? If not, you can update. It’s a good idea to back up your iPhone before updating.
