I purchased a new phone 11 and cannot send texts from my iPad to a friend with an android phone. In addition there is no syncing between the iPhone and iPad -What should I do to remedy this?

Hopefully you realize your iPad cannot do this without relying on your iPhone. You must set up Text Message Forwarding.

Thank your for your assistance and the guide regarding texting. Unfortunately, I did follow the steps but it didn't solve the problem. i still cannot send a text from iPad to an android recipient.
