iPhone cable melting and causing internal damage

Hi everyone

i bought an iPhone 11 10 months ago and today the charger melted and now my internals are all messed up. I’ve only ever used mfi certified accessories and genuine apple cables . I never use the phone while it’s charging and the charger is nowhere near fabric or anything that could cause it to overheat . Why has this happened and how do I prevent this from happening Again on another device

iPhone 11, iOS 13

Hi, shaedin

Could you of have covered the brick or cable without noticing it, I know I have.

This could cause it to overheat & might melt like yours.

Do you have any pets that would bite the cables this could cause cable damage where the coating on the internal cables break then the bare wire touches & shorts out.

Correct me If I am wrong.
