Is it possible that it’s entirely dead?

It’s about my Apple TV. I can see the light on but nothing on screen (TV). I unplugged and did all listed in Help but still not working (light on but nothing happens on TV and all blank). Since my Apple TV is the very first one (so very old), is it possible that it’s just dead given old???

A glowing status light should indicate that the box started up successfully, and that it passed its own internal tests.

In the television menu, make sure that you select the HDMI input that matches the HDMI port connected to the Apple TV. It may not be automatic.
