how do i get pass activation lock...been using this ipadmini for a long time and don't know how it got to this point. the abbreviated apple id that comes up with activation lock is not recognizable

thank you but thats not possible. Going to buy new ipad mini or bigger ipad . The lady who uses it has partial dementia and she can't remember the apple ID thanks for your help. Mike
